White Wolf

White Wolf Publishing is a company dedicated to redefining the art of storytelling. Since its birth in 1991, White Wolf has consistently stretched the boundaries of familiar modes of artistic entertainment, introducing new realms to the horror, science fiction and fantasy genres. We began our journey with our now highly popular roleplaying lines, and then ventured into the realm of mass-market fiction publishing. Now, we are involved in the electronic entertainment and television industries. We are a mainstay on the Internet and plan to expand even further... wherever our imaginations take us.

Please pre-register for NERE through White Wolf's web page.

Mood and Theme

Hot, humid, and unyielding, Summer's heat descends upon the region for a brief time marked with temperature spikes both natural and emotional.  Summer for all of its inherent joys is not kind, and its courtiers know that in Summer's trials lay opportunities to temper their blades and strengthen their hearts.

Summer's strife infects the freeholds across the region.  War lay on the doorsteps of our freeholds, its tangled brambles of thorn and vine grown to new heights over the desirous Spring.  It is time for the Crimson Court to focus their fiery wrath to burn away the undergrowth.

General Notes

The Lost events at NERE 2009 will follow the rules listed in the NERE Universal VSS.  Any additions are noted below.

Because all of the genres in the new world of darkness have elaborate systems, made even more complicated by custom approvals and the ever changing addendum the NERE 2009 Lead Storyteller and his Venue Storyteller Leads have final veto authority over any system employed over the course of the event, and may simply deny or freely modify the use of any rules mechanics, regardless of how "technically allowable," in the interests of preserving a fair and enjoyable play environment for all. Actions with the potential for creating great story will always be given preference to clever uses (or abuses) of the rules.

Venue Rules

The Lost venue has no additional rules clarifications, beyond the current US and Global rules addenda and the authority provided in the General Notes section of this VSS and the Universal VSS.

Goblin Fruit:
The amount of Goblin Fruit a PC can carry is limited by their Wyrd, according to the chart on page 225 of the Changeling: The Lost core book.

Harvesting:
Harvesting during the event will require time out of play and an available Narrator to run these scenes.  Please be advised that available Narrators may be limited.

Buffing Effects:
Buffing effects will be capped based on the rulings found in the universal Camarilla addendum.

IC Check In

NPCs not affiliated with authorized NERE 2009 Plot kits being run by the team leads require Lead Venue Storyteller approval. This does not apply to Hedge Beast Companions and Fae Mounts, which may be present pursuant to previous approval restrictions.  Storytellers may petition to incorporate their plotlines and/or NPCs into the NERE plots; approval of both the Venue Lead Storyteller and the Lead Storyteller is required to do so.
